“Major League Football turns into a brand”
Press release 1/25/2012

Hawthorne, New York - Today The BNEFF Group released new and exciting news as to the direction of the group for the 2012 season. The 2011 season was a major success all the way up to the championship game, but sadly ended with the separation of league and teams. League president Dexter Girven quoted: The departure of the former league champs and other teams was a wakeup call to how we do our business here in the group. The remaining dedicated teams have embraced our new direction and we will continue to be a major force in the Northeast!
The BNEFF Group has moved back to the name Big North East Football Federation and now uses the Major League Football – MFL as a cross league brand name!   This move will enhance the complete level of professionalism which is what the BNEFF Football family has been known for.
We are proud of the Major League Football brand and each one of our member teams will display “The Major League Football brand” member logo on their websites and handout information.
The cross brand will help both leagues, The Big North East Football Federation (  BNEFF ) and The Big East Football Federation ( BEFF ) with joint sponsorship , joint ventures  and league wide discounts  and better purchasing power across the board. This new direction will enhance our geo which makes for a more attractive spread to courting local sponsors. This change will continue to help the Group grow their market as a complete positive for all involved.
We will, with smart business practices and drive, continue to deliver the STANDARD as a true contender here in the Big North East.
